Either way, I built a tiny Mac app last night that draws a border around the active window. I named it \u201cAlan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Alan\u2019s preferences, you can choose a preferred border width and colors for both light and dark mode.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s it. That\u2019s the app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/tylerhall\/Alan\/releases\/tag\/v1.0\">download a notarized copy of Alan here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s a short demo video.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to hide Alan\u2019s icon from the Dock, you can set a hidden preference by running this Terminal command.
